Release Notes
Nissan Service Status Tracker

Note: These release notes are intended for dealership use.

The Nissan Service Status Tracker is a link the dealership can offer their customers at check-in that allows them to easily track the status of their vehicle during its service visit.

The Service Status Tracker is updated dynamically based on the service lane in Service Dashboard.

In order for a dealership to take advantage of the Nissan Service Status Tracker, the full Service Workflow Suite platform must be used consistently and correctly for each service.

The following steps show what the customer sees in the Nissan Service Status Tracker as the service visit progresses:

1. The write-up has been completed in Advisor Check-In or Mobile Check-In

Service Dashboard status MPI Ready
Service Status Tracker Check-In (Step 1)

Note: The Nissan Service Status Tracker sends a customer notification with this status update and provides the initial link to the customer. The message is sent by text or email based on the customer's communication preferences from the customer record.

2. The inspection has been started (opened) by the technician in Technician Inspection

3. The inspection has been marked complete in Technician Inspection and the Advisor has reviewed the recommendations

The recommendations may have been sent or presented to the customer via DMPI, or the MPI manually marked ‘Reviewed’ in Technician Inspection.

Note: The Nissan Service Status Tracker sends a customer notification with this status update. If multiple invoices are created, they are only notified the first time.

Additional Notes:

  • If a Dealer Administrator manually changes the gate on a service lane using this may also trigger a change in the Service Status Tracker. With the 'Ready for Pickup' step it also notifies the customer. Use the feature carefully if at all.

  • For notifications, the customer's preferred contact method is used (email or text) so make sure their information is up to date when doing the write-up.
